After growing up in New Zealand, The Northern Territory and Queensland, Melinda has experienced a range of diverse climates and lifestyles, and has developed a specific love for sub-tropical architecture, sustainable and efficient design.

Her approach to architecture is humble and practical and she aims to produce design responses that “speak to your soul”, relating with the likes of Frank Lloyd Wright, Renzo Piano and Peter Stutchbury.

 Since completing her Master of Architecture at QUT in 2018, Melinda has been working hard at Red Door, and will take a good book, a killer Netflix series and a glass of wine to wind down.

Melinda particularly enjoys the “small town” life of Brisbane, and at Red Door, she cherishes the friendly, hardworking team, and not to mention the coffee machine!
